Research is central to scholarly excellence. I am passionate about increasing knowledge and understanding, especially when it comes to addressing community health, both physical and mental. All to often, however, this knowledge is siloed in great institutions and never reaches the people we are trying to help. From my perspective, this is unacceptable. As researchers, we have an obligation to support the community that supports us and our work.
